Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats

The Denver Octet – the Night Sweats led by frontman Nathaniel Rateliff played at Redmond’s Marymoor Concerts outdoor theater over the weekend. The show was undoubtedly a highlight of the summer concert season.

The folksy, soulful, roots-rock group became a household name after their television performance of their single ‘S.O.B.’ became a national success. The 7 members of the Night Sweats accompany Rateliff on stage with pulsating, boot stomping music including horns. The fans loved the energy on stage and danced along with Rateliff throughout the night.

Rateliff grew up in a family Gospel band playing the drums. Later, after his father’s passing at the age of 13, he stated writing songs and learning guitar. After a long journey of playing and writing music and gaining a following in Denver, he is now headlining shows across the nation.

Below are two videos from the show – the first entitled ‘You Worry Me’ from his album ‘Tearing at the Seams’ and the second, his closing song of the night – ‘ S.O.B.’
